Turkey: Interior Minister’s Kurdish Policy Criticized During AKP Convention

From 8 to 10 January the AKP held its 24th Consultation and Evaluation Convention, the party’s biannual, macro-political strategy retreat. During the convention, two topics dominated the discussions: Kurdish policy and foreign affairs. According to Horizon contacts present at the event, Minister of the Interior Efkan Ala was practically cornered by a large group of AKP deputies attending the session on security and terrorism.
