Russia: Vekselberg and Chubais Under Fire: Who Is Next?

On 7 September a local court in the Komi Republic sanctioned the arrests of two senior executives at Renova Group, an industrial conglomerate controlled by billionaire Viktor Vekselberg. They are accused of bribing the former governor of the Komi Republic, Vyacheslav Gaizer, who has been under arrest himself since September 2015, in order to secure higher tariffs for Renova-controlled energy and utility companies.
