Russia: Morale at Rosneft: Sechin’s Management Style

Russian media have recently reported that Andrei Votinov, the former vice president of Rosneft in charge of construction, has been formally charged with corruption. The accusations concern his actions in 2012, when Votinov headed the Tuapse refinery. To date, Votinov is the most senior Rosneft executive to face a criminal investigation. A career Rosneft technocrat, he rose through the company’s ranks at the Tuapse refinery, catching Sechin’s eye in 2013.
