Mozambique: Parliament Absolves Government of Fault Over Sovereign Debt

Following the parliamentary commission of inquiry into Mozambique’s sovereign debt questioning of former President Armando Guebuza last week (please see our 30 November latest analysis), it has now completed its report on the matter. While the report will only be published by 9 December, Horizon was able to glean some of its contents in advance. The commission’s key finding was that the Mozambican government exceeded the ceiling for sovereign debt set by parliament annually.
