Mexico: CRE Issues Operating Permits Ahead of Approaching Deadlines

On 14 August CRE issued 550 oil derivatives commercialization permits required for operating gas stations in various regions of the country – the first time CRE has provided such documentation since the energy reforms were approved in 2010. The event is a landmark in the opening of the oil and gas sector in Mexico, since previously Pemex Refining was exclusively responsible for issuing permits for downstream activities.
