Libya: Kobler’s Push for a Unity Government

The fallout from the Paris attacks – including the new UN resolution and the British parliamentary vote to bomb Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) targets in Syria – is already informing the international conversation on Libya, particularly as concerns grow over ISIL’s expansion there. While no explicit mention to the Paris aftermath has been made in public statements on Libya, privately diplomats and UN officials are saying it has made a significant difference.
