Kazakhstan: Kazenergy Forum and KMG EP Appointment Attempt to Reassure Investors

Last week top Kazakh energy officials delivered their key takeaway messages at the Kaznergy Eurasian Forum 2015 in Astana, which aimed to reassure investors of the long-term stability of the oil and gas sector. One of the most outspoken and optimistic voices was KMG Deputy CEO Daniyar Berlibayev, who said that by 2030 the company is planning to turn Kazakhstan into a self-reliant gas state that has no problems with limited exports to Russia, efficient gas processing inside the country and fully modernized oil refineries – even under a $40/bbl scenario.
