Indonesia: Pertamina Plans to Double Refining Capacity by 2025

Pertamina Director for Refining Rachmad Hardadi recently announced that the company plans to revamp five of its six refineries in stages between 2018 and 2025 to nearly double its refining capacity from 860,000 bpd to 1.68mn bpd, at a cost of $25bn. Though Pertamina has planned the renovations since early 2013, the refinery upgrade program stalled for some time as its directors prioritized the upstream sector.
